Three-star corner makes pledge

Three-star cornerback Ashton Henderson (6-0, 180, 4.43) from Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln has made his decision and it was a very tough one between two very competitive schools. After a whirlwind season that saw Henderson change from sleeper to prospect it came down to two schools, UCLA and Michigan State.
"I chose Michigan State," Henderson said. "Basically I felt a little more comfortable there. All the coaches at Michigan State are great."

"The decision was on the ropes," Henderson said. "It went back and forth between Michigan State and UCLA."
"The decision was made tougher because UCLA coach Karl Dorrell is a great guy," Henderson said. "I know he could have sent an assistant to recruit Craig (Craig Stevens and I, but he didn't."
"I was overwhelmed that a head coach would come all across the country to recruit a guy like me."
"In the end I chose Michigan State," Henderson said. "I just felt a little more comfortable there."
"I have a friend T.J. Williams who plays wide receiver at Michigan State," Henderson said. "That played a little part in my decision."
On the season Henderson had 15 pass breakups and three interceptions. His performance saw him earn first-team all-district, all-area and all-region as a senior.
