Three-star closing in on decision

Three-star Adairsville, Ga. athlete Victor Beasley has already begun practicing with his high school team in preparation for the coming season. While playing all over the football field at running back, wide receiver and outside linebacker, Beasley certainly has plenty to think about. This week, his job will get much easier when he is able to put recruiting behind him and focus strictly on the coming season as he is slated for an announcement of his college decision.
"I narrowed it down a couple weeks ago," Beasley said. "I narrowed it down to Clemson and Alabama. I was going to have a press conference [Sunday] but my coach wanted me to have it in front of the school. I'm going to get it out of the way this week so that I can focus on my high school team and the season."

Beasley has not yet made the final decision in his mind but he does have a good idea about where he will end up.
"I'm not sure where I'm going to go," he said. "It's still in the process but I think I've got a good mindset about which college I'm picking."
With either school, Beasley is confident that he will be in good hands. Both have plenty to offer the long, versatile athlete.
"With Alabama, the coaches are great over there," he said. "I love coach Sal Sunseri, the linebackers coach. There's a great gameday atmosphere there and the fans love you. I feel like it's a place I can fit in. I could be very high on the depth chart and I feel like I can go in there and play and win a national championship with the recruits that they're bringing in and the tradition over there."
There is also plenty about the Clemson program that has Beasley excited.
"Clemson is a great place," he continued. "I've visited up there a few times now. They're building a new weight room with nice facilities. It's a great place to be. When I went up there it just felt like home and felt like a great place. I love the coaches. Coach Swinney seems like a really humble man and the players love to play for him."
At this point Beasley doesn't know exactly when his announcement will come but he does know that it will be coming this week. After that, Beasley will be focused strictly on the season where he will have plenty of responsibilities.
"On defense i'm playing outside linebacker and on offense i'm playing running back but they still split me out on pass plays pretty much every snap," he said. "I love to score touchdowns and i love to hit but i believe i love to sccore touchdowns mroe than i love hitting."
