Three-star CB starts to schedule unofficials

With the college football season quickly approaching, Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt cornerback Mike Jones is looking at visits. The 6-foot-0, 210-pounder has at least one unofficial visit scheduled already on September 1st.
"I have a game on September 1st and right after that's done I'm going up to Pittsburgh to watch their game," he said. "I'm also planning to go to Syracuse sometime either week three or week four for a visit.

"I was supposed to go to Michigan State and Akron this summer with Julian Harrell. I never got to go on those, so I may take trips there this season too."
What does Jones want to see on the visits?
"I want to see what the players are like, how they act in the locker room and stuff like that."
All the visits announced above are only unofficials at this time for Jones.
He currently holds offers from Iowa, Syracuse, Akron and Miami (Ohio).
Numerous schools including Pittsburg, Minnesota and Virginia still haven't offered the three-star prospect. What is the situation with them?
"Pittsburgh is really interested," he said. "They are just waiting till the season starts to see if they need running backs and cornerbacks. The other schools are waiting and want to see more before they do something."
At this time, Jones claims there are no leaders for his services. In fact, he isn't even sure what he is looking for in a college.
"I'm not too concerned about recruiting right now," he said. "I'm focused on my senior and a state championship this year. More than likely I'll take all of my officials after the season."
The No. 35 cornerback in the country opens the season on September 1st against Central East.
"We're looking pretty good," he said. "We've had one scrimmage so far and blew the team out. I had just four carries and four touchdowns. I ran for about 200-yards too. I can tell I'm a little bit quicker this year and bigger too, I'm 6-foot-0, 210-pounds now."
