Three-star CB hoping for more offers

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Hoover (Ala.) Spain Park three-star cornerback Chris Humes on Wednesday said a final decision on where he will play in college might not come until national signing day.
Right now, there is no leader, he added.

However, five schools stand out.
"It's Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi State, Arkansas and Tennessee," Humes said.
According to the 6-feet-1, 195-pounder, who is competing in this week's Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic, of that group only Mississippi State has offered. He expects the others to follow suit sometime in the very near future.
"It's probably coming in January," Humes said. "I feel good about every one of them. They're telling me they're going to start offering more guys then."
Humes, the state of Alabama's 26th-rated player, said he has two official visits planned: Alabama on Jan. 13; Arkansas on Jan. 20. He added that he has heard from "Arkansas, Alabama and Mississippi State" in the past week.
Asked who was showing the most interest, Humes replied, "It's a tie between all of them."
As a senior, Humes recorded 65 tackles and 17 pass breakups. For now, he said he isn't worried about which offers will come and which school or schools will move to the top.
"I'm just trying to graduate," he said. "I'm just focused on making good grades."
