Three-star CB has two on top

One of the most talented teams in the Dallas Metroplex is Grand Prairie (Texas) South Grand Prairie High School. A big part of that talent is cornerback Thomas Ferguson. The three-star prospect headed into the summer with three offers already and more have come since then, boosting his list to six as he heads into his senior year.
"I received a couple more offers over the summer," Ferguson said. "Colorado, Southern Miss and Utah offered me."

"My top two right now are probably Utah and Kansas," he said. "I plan on visiting both schools but haven't set anything official up yet. I've never been to Utah so I'd definitely like to check them out. Oklahoma State has sent me some tickets in the mail as well so I might have to go up there and catch a game."
Though Ferguson is steadily gaining more options to choose from, he came very close to ending his recruitment earlier this summer before thinking better of it.
"I'm just trying to ride out this whole process," he said. "I came close to committing early in the summer. But I'm going to have to take my time. This is one of the most important decisions of my life."
When he does make his decision, Ferguson will be keeping a few key factors in mind.
"When looking at a school, one of the things I will look at is their depth chart and where and when I would fit in with them and on the field with them."
As the South Grand Prairie season approaches on the horizon, there is one game that Ferguson has circled on his calendar.
"I really am looking forward to Cedar Hill," he said. "I've got a lot of friends over there and they won a championship a few years ago. They always kind of give me a hard time about it so I would really like to beat them."
The season begins on Thursday night for South Grand Prairie when Ferguson and his teammates take on Richardson High School.
