Three-star CB close to offers

Round Rock (Texas) Stony Point is one of the more talented teams in the state of Texas with speed and athleticism on both sides of the ball. The secondary is a good place to find some of that talent and a big reason why is Julian Dozier. Though his offer list is sparse to date, Dozier continues to gain attention and see interest grow.
Recently Dozier has been receiving numerous phone calls as evidence of that college interest.

"I talked to Ohio and Colorado State for about 20 to 25 minutes a piece today," Dozier said on Wednesday. "They want me to call back tomorrow and said there is a possible offer there. Oklahoma State called me today and Baylor called me a couple of days ago. Oklahoma State said they want my highlight tape. They said an offer is possible."
The contact with Baylor has Dozier interested. The school is close by and already holds a commitment from teammate Glasco Martin.
"My teammate Glasco Martin committed to Baylor so I go up there with him a lot," he said. "He helps me out a lot with my recruiting process but him being there won't be a big deal on where I go."
The Baylor coaching staff has shown that its interest in Dozier is more than just on the surface as well. The school has already expressed how close an offer may be for the speedy corner and if an offer were to come, the Bears would be sitting in a good position.
"They said I am fourth on their list of possible offers," he said. "They offered their top three. It's between Baylor and Oklahoma State if they offered."
Because of his athleticism, Dozier provides more than just defensive options to college coaches. As he explains, there is a lot that he can do on the football field.
"Most of the coaches like my versatility," he said. "They like me playing a lot of positions on the field. Baylor and Oklahoma State are looking at me as a slot receiver but as a DB they like me hitting hard."
