Three-star Brown picks up new offer

Defensive end Tavares Brown out of Rockingham (N.C.) Richmond County has picked up a new offer from another school in his top five. Who did the 6-foot-0, 250-pounder receive the offer from and what does he think about it?
"I got an offer from East Carolina," he said. "I was pretty shocked by it because they got quiet with me recently and it kind of came out of nowhere. I like that a lot of my coaches went there for college, but I still don't know too much about them.

"I think I may go up there for an unofficial visit on October 29th and hopefully I'll see something that catches my eye and makes me look at them even more. I really like the coaches I've met from there as they are nice people."
The three-star prospect has begun work on official visits.
"I believe my coach has set up ones with North Carolina State and North Carolina at the end of the season in late November or December," he said. "I'm hoping both stand out and I see something that pushes me towards their schools. I like coach Hunter and Bunting at North Carolina because they are straight-up guys. I also like coach Williams at NC State cause he's a good guy too. Beyond that I like what North Carolina does and I've seen some of their practices, while North Carolina State knows how to mold people."
Brown continues to consider Tennessee and Maryland as well.
"Tennessee is still my favorite and coach Brooks wants to see more film on me and has shown an interest in me attending some games. Tennessee is also where my heart has always been," he said. "Maryland on the other hand I might very scratch off my list before long because they haven't contacted me since the summer. I guess they gave up on me or backed off because of my height."
This season the No. 34 strongside defensive end in the country has helped Richmond County to an 8-0 record.

"As for me, I've got 60 tackles, 43 solo and five sacks. I'm happy with how I've done, but coach thinks I can do even better."Here to view this Link.
