Three-star backs out of Kansas commit

In the early summer before his senior season, Flower Mound (Texas) Marcus offensive guard Ty Cloud ended his recruitment and pledged his commitment to the Kansas Jahawks. Since that commitment back in June some things have changed. On Wednesday morning, Cloud decided that It was time to change his commitment as well.
"Ty has de-committed from the University of Kansas as of this morning," confirmed Flower Mound Marcus Head Coach Bryan Erwin. "Ty and his family have determined that University of Kansas is not a good fit for them."

It looks as though Cloud will not be heading back to Lawrence, Kan. unless it is while wearing an opposing jersey. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound interior lineman has moved on with his recruitment and a school that initially looks to be of interest will be the University of Houston Cougars.
"Ty is currently exploring other options and is excited about continuing the recruiting process," said Coach Erwin.
This weekend, Cloud hopes to make it to the Houston campus for a visit. Prior to his commitment to Kansas, he had received offers from SMU and the Cougars.
Marcus recently completed its 2008 season with a 24-10 first round playoff loss to Euless (Texas) Trinity, the nation's top ranked program by Rivals.com.
