At 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds, Division One schools are recruiting Jesse for both his football and basketball skills.
“My top five choices right now are UCLA, Maryland, Boston College, North Carolina and Virginia. All of those schools have great football and basketball programs and they are all looking into me playing both sports.”
Heading into his senior year at Roselle, Jesse has more than 20 football scholarship offers and just as many for basketball. He recently returned from Las Vegas, Nev. where he competed in the “Big Time” basketball camp. Top high school basketball players from around the country showed off their skills and when it was over, Jesse averaged better than 20 points per game.
“I had a great time at hoops camp. I was able to play against great competition and I think I did very well.”
Besides the basketball court, Jesse also excels on the football field and is touted as a top-notch wide receiver or defensive back. Last season he had 44 catches for 865 yards and 15 touchdowns. As a safety, he made 48 tackles and had three interceptions.
“I would love to make a decision by October. I want to take all my visits in September or early October if I can, then I can decide.”
