Three-star ATH up to four offers

Three-star athlete Carlton Perkins out of Walker, La. claims four offers. The latest offer for the 6-foot-0, 190-pounder came from the Big Ten.
"I have offers from Minnesota, North Texas, Memphis and Louisiana-Lafayette," he said. "I actually got Minnesota a few weeks ago. They came to spring camp and about a week later I was informed I had an offer."

Perkins shared his thoughts about the Gophers.
"I like Minnesota, because they were the only school that came down for spring camp to watch me practice," said Perkins. "I haven't visited, but I think I may be going there this summer."
To date, Perkins hasn't taken any trips this summer, but noted plans to make camp visits in July. However, he is still in the process of figuring out details on destinations.
Meanwhile, other schools including Nebraska, LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Indiana, Duke, Tennessee, Auburn and Tulane continue to show interest.
"They all want me to go to camp," he said. "I think a number of them want to see me in person, like Louisiana-Lafayette did, and then they'll offer me."
A versatile recruit that is getting most of his looks for safety and running back, Perkins broke down some of the schools at the top of his list.
"I like all of the schools," he said. "Out of them I'd probably say LSU and Nebraska for those that haven't offered and Louisiana-Lafayette and Memphis for those that have."
Perkins explained why these four schools are currently standing out.
"LSU of course I grew up around it," he said. "Some of my friends are going there. As for Nebraska, I've just always liked Nebraska. For Louisiana-Lafatette and Memphis, I just get a good feeling from them and I like it."
Visits are coming and the versatile athlete is looking for a few things in his future home.
"Basically, I just want a good environment to be around, good fans and god teammates," he said. "I don't want coaches that are screaming when something goes wrong. I go to a school that doesn't have that many winning records, so the last chance is to lift you up."
