Three-star ATH names a favorite

Three-star athlete Tony Morgan out of Garner (N.C.) Garner Senior has had North Carolina and South Carolina at the top of his list for awhile now. After some recent visits for camps, the 6-foot-0, 188-pounder has named a leader.
"I'm starting to narrow it down," he said. "Right now I'd say South Carolina is No. 1, followed by North Carolina at No. 2 and then ECU at No. 3. I am still considering Clemson because they have offered too."

Obviously a camp recently at South Carolina has helped the Gamecocks to pull out in front for the Tar Heel State prospect.
"I went to South Carolina for camp and stayed overnight for three days," he stated. "I loved it up there. I got to see how the coaches coach their players and they showed us stuff we can take back to our school to make our teammates better. I also got to see some of the plays they run.
"They were No. 1 before I went and after the camp and made me want to go there even more. They really stand out to me."
In the past month, Morgan also took in camps at North Carolina and ECU.
"North Carolina was really fun too," he said. "In the first part, they worked me out at defensive back and then in the second they switched me to running back. I don't really care what I play I love playing both positions. I liked the staff there and I got a good feel for it. It's a good in-state school.
"The visit to East Carolina really surprised me. Going there, I didn't think the camp would be as fun, but they were hyped up and motivated. I like stuff like that and they surprised me a lot."
With a top three, is the No. 58 athlete in the country any closer to a decision?
"It's coming up soon," he said. "I am going to see if I can make one more visit to a college before I make a final decision. I may want to go check out Colorado or Marshall and then I plan to decide just before the season starts in September."
