Three-star ATH has two leaders

Three-star athlete Tony Morgan has been a major ingredient to Garner, N.C.'s undefeated regular season. The 6-foot-0, 188-pounder is looking forward to the playoffs which start this weekend.
"The season is going good, we're getting ready to enter the playoffs," he said. "We've had a lot of time to prepare for this game and we continue to get better every week.

"I've played pretty well this year. I have five touchdowns, six interceptions and about 55 tackles. I've definitely improved a lot, especially at defensive back. I'm more comfortable in bumping the receiver and my interception numbers are a lot higher. I only had three on the entire season last year."
Has the big year resulted in more recruiting interest for Morgan?
"It's been going well," he said. "I still have the same offers, South Carolina, East Carolina, Marshall, Colorado and North Carolina. I'm talking to all of them still.
"I talked with my mom the other night and I think two schools are leading now. East Carolina was a sleeper school for me, but now I like them more and South Carolina is up there too."
Morgan discussed what sticks out about the Gamecocks and Pirates.
"Both of those teams have two great coaches, South Carolina obviously with Steve Spurrier and East Carolina with Skip Holtz. Each has a great atmosphere and I like the teams."
The No. 66 athlete in the country doesn't have anything scheduled, but did mention the possibility of visits to both schools before the season is out.
