Three standout for Myles

Darren Myles is one of the top rated defensive backs in the nation and things are winding down for this high four-star safety prospect. Myles, 6-1 and 175 pounds, now has three school favorites, according to his father Darren Myles, Sr.
"Tennessee, Alabama and LSU are the main three now," Coach Myles said. "We will visit Kentucky this weekend and see if they can 'wow' us as well."

This past weekend Myles visited the University of Tennessee. There, they got a quick tutorial in Monte Kiffin's "Tampa 2" defense.
"The trip was great and Monte Kiffin is a great guy. We didn't even have a chance to check in. We showed up and went right to the meeting room with coach Kiffin and he showed us all these variations of the 'Tampa 2'. It was great. The whole staff was just wonderful. It's a good situation there for Darren and he would have a chance to play and be mentored by Eric Berry. That's not bad."
Myles visited LSU last month and Alabama in early January. There are many similarities according to coach Myles regarding those two SEC West rivals.
"Both Alabama and LSU have great facilities and have had facility upgrades. They both have great academic support and tradition on defense and at the safety position. I think he can play early at both schools too."
So the Wildcats will get Myle's last visit this weekend. It's a visit well earned by Kentucky.
"They were the first too offer him and they recruited him hard the entire time. I think Darren wants to honor them and visit. We'll see what happens."
Myles is scheduled to announce his decision on Signing Day in Atlanta, Georgia's Buckhead ESPN Zone at 10:45 a.m.
"It's been fun and we only have one more week. You only get recruited once in a lifetime and you have to enjoy this."
For the season Myles had 80 tackles, five tackles for a loss, 15 pass breakups, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Offensively he had 30 receptions for 370 yards and scored five touchdowns.
