Three stand out for Brown

DeAngelo Brown of Savannah Christian School is not ready to name a leader or even a top five, however, the three-star defensive tackle does admit a few programs are standing out.
"USF, Georgia Tech and Louisville," he said. "They're all recruiting me pretty hard. I've visited Georgia Tech and Louisville. I got a good feeling when I left."

Today, the 6-foot-1, 285-pound Brown will check out USF with his parents on an unofficial.
"It's my first time visiting there," he said. "I'm just going to go there with an open mind and see what everything is like. I really like [assistant Steve Shankweiler]. He's my recruiting coach. He just always told me about everything. I want to get down there and see it. When I went to Georgia Tech and Louisville I just liked the feeling I got. I want to see how South Florida looks. I've heard a lot of great things about it."
In addition to Georgia Tech and Louisville, Brown also has visited Mississippi State and Vanderbilt, both of which also have offered. Those two schools remain somewhat in the mix, he said.
When Brown returns home from Tampa, he will start planning his official visits.
"I want to start taking some officials, then after that I'll probably pick a school," Brown said. "I've just got to work it out with my parents. I want to [commit] before the season ends."
