Three Sleepers

Every year there are players for one reason or another that fall through the cracks and end up signing with the Nevada’s and the Northern Arizona’s of the world.
Good programs, no doubt but not exactly the big time. Programs like above do send players to the league.

Rivals100 West has found three players who had outstanding senior seasons who have fallen below the radar screen of the Pac10 and other schools.
These are the hungry type of players that may not have the perfect dimensions or speed that the D-I’s are looking for but they will help some college somewhere.
The first player is Phillip Madison (6-0, 200, 4.55) from Ridgecrest (Calif.) Burroughs. Madison played both ways as a running back/outside linebacker. It is on offense where Madison will most likely get his scholie. He rushed for 870 yards and scored 12 touchdowns on offense.
Nevada, Oregon, Fresno State and UNLV have made contact and are showing interest in Madison.
Another player who had an outstanding senior season who is being overlooked is running back Daniel Dixon (5-8, 185, 4.5) from Orange (Calif.) El Modena. Dixon for the second straight season rushed for over 2,000 yards. As a senior Dixon rushed for 2,479 yards and scored 35 touchdowns. He also led his team in receptions.
During Dixon’s junior season he rushed for 2,048 yards.
Northern Arizona and Idaho State are paying close attention to Dixon.
The third sleeper from this list is wide receiver Jeff Gray (5-11, 170, 4.56) from North Torrance, Calif. Gray led the south bay area in receptions and receiving yards. He caught 64 passes for 1,061 yards. Gray also had ten touchdowns.
For his career, Gray has 168 receptions for 2,612 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also has 15 career interceptions as a corner.
Gary is hearing from Nevada and Wyoming.
