Three schools very high on 2012 ATH

Three major programs are taking a very hard look at Class of 2012 athlete Stacey Bedell.
Bedell, a 5-foot-8, 165-pound athlete from Mastic Beach (N.Y.) William Floyd, has been electric so far in his junior season in leading his team to a 3-0 record.

William Floyd won their first game 35-28 but their last two games haven't even been close. In those three contests Bedell has carried the ball 51 times for 612 yards and seven touchdowns, proving that he is one of the most dynamic running backs from New York in quite some time.
Stony Brook has already verbally offered Bedell a scholarship and a few other schools may be doing the same thing later.
"I've been talking to Penn State, Rutgers and Pitt," Bedell explained. "They said they're gonna offer me in the future. I visited [all three] schools during the summer.
"I think all those schools are great. They were amazing when I was there. I had great experiences at all of them."
Though he has seen them up close Bedell said it's too early for him to list a favorite. He has not made any plans to visit any schools this fall or beyond yet.
As a sophomore last year he carried the ball 106 times for 869 yards and 10 touchdowns while recording 49 total tackles, one interception and nine pass breakups on defense.
