Three schools making Simmons a priority

Jvon Simmons is waiting for his first BCS offer but three schools from the area have given him a reason to be upbeat.
Toledo is the only school that has offered Simmons to date and the 6-foot-2, 200-pound receiver from La Plata (Md.) said this week that he hasn't had much contact with the Mid-American Conference School .

"I would say the top three schools recruiting me the hardest are Pittsburgh , West Virginia and Maryland ," Simmons said. "I've visited West Virginia and Pittsburgh . I could have visited Maryland but that was the week I ended up injuring myself.
"I liked Pitt a lot. I went down for the Virginia Tech game and it was wonderful.
"I actually saw the West Virginia-Maryland game so I was able to see both of them and I liked it a lot. I liked the atmosphere and the fans because after the game was over I was walking and random fans were just coming up to me saying, 'You definitely need to come here.'"
As for that injury, Simmons sprained his knee and sat out for a week. He's been playing more recently but he hasn't gotten back to 100-percent.
In spite of that missed action Simmons is sixth in his conference in receiving.
