Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga wide receiver Doug Dutch returned from San Antonio, Tex. this week with three teams heading his list. Who are they?
"Right now you could say that Michigan, Miami and Florida are my top three," said the 6-foot-0, 200-pounder. "I have my final official visit to Florida this weekend and then I'll decide after that. I don't know what date I'm going to announce or how or anything, but I want to get this over with soon."
So are Virginia and Maryland, the two other schools on his list, out of the picture?
"No, not yet," he said. "After my last visit, I will sit down and compare everything. I liked Virginia and Maryland and you could say they're still very much in it, but if I had to name three schools I favor it would be the three I mentioned."
Dutch is the No. 99 player in the country. He could play wideout or cornerback in college and is a standout special teams player.
"I prefer offense and that's where everyone is recruiting me," he said. "I want to win a national title in college, so that will be a factor as well as comfort level and academics. Distance is not a factor."
