Three recent offers for Massachusetts OL

Andover (Mass.) Phillips Academy offensive tackle Robert Vardaro was patiently waiting for his first offer to come in up until recently. Now that wait is over.
In the last couple of weeks the 6-foot-5, 307-pound lineman from Massachusetts has picked up three offers -- two of which are from schools outside the region.

"Actually now I have offers from Tulane, UConn and Vanderbilt," Vardaro explained. "That's just been within the last week or week and a half. How could you not be happy?" he rhetorically asked when pressed on his reaction. "They're all great schools."
Despite the offers, Vardaro is keeping everything open for now. He has declined to come out with a list of favorites.
"I've talked to the coaches a little bit," he explained.
"I've talked to coach (Mike) Foley from UConn a lot. The Tulane coach came up to see me and we've talked on the phone a little bit. I talked to the Vanderbilt coach a little bit. We only talked for about twenty minutes."
Vardaro sent his film out to countless schools, so that's how many coaches became familiar with him.
Apparently a few other programs are thinking about extending offers as well.
"BC and Brown are interested. I think there might be a couple of others that are interested, too. Northwestern wants to see me. I've just got to get out there and they should offer.
"As of right now I'm going to the BC camp, the Syracuse camp this weekend and the Brown camp."
Vardaro said he does not have a time frame for when he would like to make his decision. He finishes his final exams on Thursday and will start devoting more attention to the recruiting process after that.
