Three offers puts Smith on the map

Pickering, La., defensive tackle D'Anthony Smith is a 6-foot-3, 311-pound two-star prospect that is moving things forward quickly with his recruitment. Three offers now sit on the table for the big prospect that fell a little bit under the radar.
The state of Louisiana has been kind in the offer category as of late. Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Monroe, and Louisiana Lafayette have all extended their scholarship offers for Smith and the No. 31 rated prospect in Louisiana is staying open and very humble about the recent attention.

"All of those three teams talk to me quite a bit, but I'm just trying to look around as much as possible," Smith said. "I'll go to any school that is talking to me a lot and just keeping up with me. It's nice to see all these happen."
His first visit looks like it will be to Louisiana-Monroe on Dec. 2.
"I'm pretty excited about it," Smith said. "I got that first because they were the first ones to talk with me about an offer, so I decided to show them some love too."
Smith's decision will probably not be long after that first trip. He's shooting for a possible Christmas time commitment. Playing in the state championship is one of the only things that won't be happening for the talented Louisiana player.
"We were eliminated in the second round," Smith said. "Our team still was the district champs and we finished up with only two losses. It was good overall."
