Three offers in less than a week for LB

Linebacker/fullback Uona Kavienga (6-1, 228, 4.6) from Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger stock is red hot. He being recruited by just about everybody in the Pac 10 and Mountain West and just a half hour ago he received his third offer in less than a week.
"Uona just received an offer from Arizona," Leuzinger assistant coach Ralph Oliver said. "He was offered by Utah on Thursday, BYU on Friday and just now he was offered by Arizona. Now Uona is hoping he gets an offer from UCLA and Oregon.

"UCLA is recruiting Uona as an athlete and everybody is recruiting him as a linebacker," Oliver said. "UCLA's offensive coaches like him as a fullback while the defensive staff wants him as a linebacker. The Bruins tell me they are definitely interested.
"I just talked to (Oregon assistant coach) Don Pellum on Thursday and sent me a Fed Ex packet on Friday so we are waiting on their response," Oliver said. "USC invited Uona to their junior day and Ken Norton Jr. seemed impressed. They even compared Uona to (former USC linebacker and now Seattle Seahawk) Lofa Tatupu."
Kavienga was an all-state underclassman as a junior after racking up 11 tackles, nine sacks and four forced fumbles. He also earned first-team all-CIF, all-area and was his league's Defensive Player of the Year in 2006.
Another thing to like about Kavienga is he's totally qualified with a 2.9 GPA in the core and 1240 SAT.
Things will just heat more for Kavienga as the spring approaches.
