Three Offers For Skyscraper OL

Lynchburg (Pa.) Jefferson Forest offensive tackle Eddie Pinigis has received his first three scholarship offers and with his 6-foot-8 and 285-pound frame, they certainly won’t be his last.
“I have offers from Maryland, Virginia and Wake Forest so far,” he said. “I’m not in a rush and I’m going to wait until after my senior season to make a commitment.”

Despite the impressive offers, Pinigis lists two other schools as his co-leaders.
“I like Tennessee and Florida the best right now,” he said. “They play in the SEC which is the best conference around. They’re also always competing for a national championship.”
Virginia, Maryland and Virginia Tech round out his top five.
“Coach Groh has really turned the Virginia program around and he has NFL connections,” he explained. “Maryland has really turned their program around and Virginia Tech is a great program and has one of the best strength coaches in the country.”
Pinigis will camp at Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina this summer and is looking for “good academics, a top-notch football program and NFL exposure” in a school. He has made some good gains in and out of the weight room this spring.
“I’ve really improved my strength and technique over the last couple of months.”
