Three offers for junior LB

Junior linebacker Alex Anzalone of Wyomissing, Pa. is quickly becoming a name to remember. Recently picking up his first three offers, Anzalone is also receiving interest from several other top programs, and also hit the road this weekend for a junior day.
"I received three offers the past few days from Boston College, Northwestern and Temple," said Anzalone, who is 6-foot-3 and 220-pounds.

Aside from these three offers, Anzalone my be close to grabbing a few more offers.
"I talked to Urban Meyer over the phone and he said they are very interested," said Anzalone. "I also talked to Coach Butler and Vanderlinden from Penn State over the phone. Maryland, Duke, Wake Forest, UConn, Syracuse, Rutgers, UCLA and Purdue are also showing a lot of interest. There are a bunch of others with medium interest."
This weekend, Anzalone had the opportunity to attend the Maryland junior day.
"It went really well," he said. "It was cool to see all the great things they have to offer academically and also athletically."
Anzalone will look to keep a busy schedule in the coming months.
"I'm planning on visiting Ohio State on the 12th and also Wake Forest, Duke and Syracuse," said Anzalone. "During spring break I'll be visiting Northwestern, and hopefully Michigan and Purdue. I plan on visiting UCLA, USC and Stanford this summer."
With all of these visits planned, Anzalone has an agenda he will try to follow.
"Since I'm nearly a straight A student and I'm taking four AP classes, academics are obviously important to me," said Anzalone. "I also don't want to be restricted as to what I can major in. I like programs with a rich tradition and are successful on and off the field."
