Linebacker and tight end Nick Macaluso is quickly becoming a hotly recruited prospect out of New Jersey in 2006.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder out of Middletown South, N.J. had already received an offer from Rutgers and recently added two more offers from Boston College and Michigan State.
Macaluso has also taken in his first junior day at Rutgers.
"It was good, I liked it," he said. "I was pretty impressed with all the facilities they had there. I didn't know they had all that."
Recently, Macaluso has been receiving a lot of interest from Stanford, and that seems to be of interest.
So who's in the lead for the prospect?
"Pretty much my top three are Stanford, Notre Dame and Duke," he said. "They all have pretty good academics and the football is pretty good too."
This season Macaluso helped Middletown South to a 12-0 record as they won Group 3 championship for a second year in a row. He went on to post 90 tackles, four forced fumbles, five sacks, four blocked punts and one interception for a touchdown.
This summer Macaluso is considering attending the Blue Chip Combine at Rutgers in May.
