Three offers for 2014 RB

2014 running back Shai McKenzie of Washington, Pa. has seen his recruiting process take off to a quick start with three early offers. Now the talented junior is preparing for his upcoming season and in the process hopes to take a few visits this fall.
"Recruiting is alright," said McKenzie, who is 5-foot-11 and 210-pounds. "I really haven't got into it that much and I'm just waiting to see how I improve in the next two years."

Offers are in right now from Pittsburgh, Toledo and Youngstown State, and a number of other top programs will also be playing very close attention to McKenzie this fall.
"The big time ones are Wisconsin, West Virginia, Indiana, Rutgers, NC State, UCLA, Notre Dame and several more," he said.
During the summer McKenzie stayed busy by attending sever camps.
"Pittsburgh for a one-day camp, Toledo and Penn State for one-day camps and I missed West Virginia, which I could of possibly picked up an early offer," said McKenzie. "The camps were a good experience, but I liked Pitt's camp. It was more organized and fast paced."
McKenzie will try to visit a few schools this fall.
"I actually got tickets to a Rutgers game today [Wednesday] in the mail, but I don't think I can make it, but I'm definitely going to a Pitt game on I believe the 29th," he said. "I'd also like to visit Toledo, West Virginia and Cincinnati."
Growing up, McKenzie admitted to following a number of programs.
"LSU, Alabama, Rutgers, South Carolina, Oregon and West Virginia," said McKenzie. "I always watched them because they had talented running backs. I loved watching them and the flow of the offense."
With a number of schools on his radar, McKenzie discussed what he hopes to find in a program when it comes time to make a final decision.
"I'm looking for a school with a great academic system and a school that tries their hardest to take athletes to the next level," he said.
McKenzie and his teammates begin their season on August 31st against Greensburg Central Catholic.
