Three offers for 2014 DE

2014 defensive end Andrew Trumbetti of Demarest, N.J. is quickly becoming a player to watch. Already with three offers, and serious interest from several other programs, Trumbetti will hit the road for a couple of camps this summer.
"Recruiting has been going well," said Trumbetti, who is 6-foot-5 and 249-pounds. "I like all of the coaches."

The North Jersey prospect has already received offers from Boston College, Rutgers and Florida International.
"I don't let it get to me too much because I don't want to get a big head and feel like I don't have to perform this season because I already have offers," said Trumbetti. "So I try my best not to think about them and just keep working."
Aside from the three offers, several other schools have also been showing serious interest.
"UConn, Maryland, Virginia and a few others that I really can't think of," said Trumbetti. "Notre Dame told me to come to the camp, but they haven't visited."
Trumbetti has already had the opportunity to check out Notre Dame, Boston College, Rutgers and Penn State, and this summer he will attend camps at both Notre Dame and Rutgers.
"I want to prove that I am one of the best defensive ends in the country and that I can play for their team," said Trumbetti, who is also being recruited as a tight end, but definitely has a favorite position. "I really want to be an outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense, but also a defensive end."
During his sophomore season Trumbetti lined up at defensive end, defensive tackle, tight end and wide receiver. With a great deal expected from him this fall, he has been busy preparing for his junior season.
"I just want to be bigger, stronger and faster," said Trumbetti. "I want to be a more dominant player all the time. I'm going to the gym three times a week and on the other days I am training with my track coach."
