Three new offers have come in for Charlotte (N.C.) Christian linebacker Kelby Brown. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder pulled his latest offers from the ACC, Big East and SEC.
"I got new offers from Arkansas, Boston College and Louisville," he said. "Arkansas was a bit surprising. They are in the SEC and that's a big-time conference. It's quite a compliment. I had talked to Louisville and Boston College and they sounded excited about me and then offered."
Now, Brown is making plans to take some trips this summer.
"I'm trying to get out to see as many schools as I can," he said. "The only camp I know for sure is NC State. They haven't offered. Their linebacker coach wants me to come, but they are really excited about me.
"I'm also planning to stop through Indiana, Northwestern and Wisconsin on a trip June 23rd through the 30th. I'm looking at another trip to Duke and NC State on June 19th and 20th."
Brown is still hoping for a few more offers to come in.
"I'd like to see one from North Carolina, Vanderbilt or Georgia, that'd be awesome," he said. "North Carolina is a great place and it's close and who wouldn't want to go to Georgia. Vanderbilt is in the SEC too and Nashville is the country music home."
The Carolina prospect maintains no favorites, but mentioned what he wants in a college.
"I'm looking for a great football program where I can fit in at," he stated. "I want somewhere I feel comfortable with the coaches and program and a school that is on the rise. Academics is a big part too."
