Three more offers for Skyline CB

Add three more offers to the ever-growing list of Dallas (Texas) Skyline cornerback Steve Williams. The speedy defensive back is up to 13 official offers now and his most recent group of offers includes two Big 12 programs and one Big Ten team. Williams continues to be interested.
"I got offers from Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Colorado," Williams said. "Oklahoma and Wisconsin really stick out. Oklahoma is a powerhouse. Wisconsin a few years ago had the number one secondary in the nation. I would say Oklahoma and Wisconsin are high on my list."

Williams had had some brief communication with the Oklahoma staff but the offer came much quicker than expected.
"I had talked to them one day before," he said. "The day before they had told me that they wanted to come down there so that they could see me and then they'd offer. The next day they offered me."
Williams already has plans to visit Norman, Okla. and has the date of the Spring Game circled on his calendar.
"I'll probably visit Oklahoma," he said. "I'll go down there and see their Spring Game on April 12. I'll probably go to [Texas] Tech. [Teammate Keannon Cooper] is going down there so I'll probably just roll with him."
Early in the process, Williams has become one of the most highly recruited defensive backs in Texas. Though he would love to focus in on the schools that have been recruiting him, it is tough when the offers keep rolling in.
"It's crazy because I never have the time to just think about a school because then the next big college comes in," he said. "I'm going to narrow it down because there's some colleges that they are just throwing an offer at me but aren't really recruiting me. I'm going to narrow it down before school starts up again."
Williams has great speed from the cornerback position so he is spending most of his spring working in the weight room on strength and explosiveness.
