Three lead for Cadogan

Cherry Hill (N.J.) Camden Catholic tight end/defensive end Sherard Cadogan has plenty of offers to choose from but it appears as though he has narrowed his focus to three schools. He plans on taking official to those schools, and one of the three will be his college destination, barring something unforeseen.
The 6-foot-3, 227-pound jumbo athlete from the Garden State has an offer list that's about as impressive as anyone else's from the state of New Jersey. With many of the state's top prospects already committed Cadogan is receiving that much more attention right now.

He has been deflecting some of that recruiting attention in deference to his coaches and teammates at Camden Catholic, where he is preparing to start his senior year and final season of high school football.
"We look good. We've got a young crew coming in so everybody's trying to step up," he said. "There's a lot of competition. We look great. Our offensive line is young but they look good for the future.
"I feel like I'm improving. Of course, I can always get better. We got the pads on for the first time today. It was fast paced and exciting to get back to that. We got after it. That's what you do in the first practice. We were trying to get that feeling back."
Cadogan said his squad has a scrimmage coming up soon. Though he hasn't been totally in tune with what's happening on the recruiting front he has kept it in the back of his mind.
"Recruiting has died off slightly just because I've been getting ready for this season and we started training camp," he said. "Soon I'll start calling (coaches) again, though. Then I'll take officials and we'll go from there.
"Right now I'd have to say Wisconsin, Michigan State and Pitt are probably my top three. Those are the ones I definitely want to visit. Me and my family are trying to talk about when we'll do it. I'll probably call those coaches so we can look at our schedules."
Cadogan said he would like to take an official visit to Wisconsin at the same time as future Badger signal caller and fellow New Jersey native Joseph Brennan. That trip would probably be on the weekend of September 25 when Wisconsin plays host to Michigan State -- another finalist.
"I like Pitt because I've been there a couple of times already. I love their campus and the city is right there. I love the city. I know all the coaches and they're great coaches. That's why I like Pitt.
"I'm very interested in Michigan State. They've got me playing tight end or defensive end so I'm very interested to see how they are. I've been a pretty big fan of Michigan State so I want to see what it's like there.
"Wisconsin, you know, I'm very interested in them. They want me as an H-Back and I've always watched them play. I'd be very interested in that."
Cadogan reiterated that he does not care what position he ultimately plays in college.
