Three For TE Johnson

Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic tight end Sam Johnson might have one more visit to make before he decides on his college destination.
"I've already visited Boston College and Syracuse and I'll most likely choose between those two schools," said the 6-foot-4, 235-pounder who has offers from both schools and many others. "I think I'll probably take a visit to Rutgers before I decide though. Not sure if I need an official visit, but I'd like to take one more look around."

Johnson said that he likes Rutgers and the coaches quite a bit, but has concerns about their ability to compete. That's the only thing holding him back.
"They're my home state school so I want to give them another look," he said. "But they're having a rough year and their quarterback situation doesn't look promising."
Johnson won't make any decisions until his senior season is over.
"Dec. 7," he said. "That's the state finals date and we plan on being there. It looks like we'll get a chance at revenge with Don Bosco or play Notre Dame."
Bergen Catholic lost to Don Bosco in an upset earlier this season. Johnson, who is being recruited by Syracuse and Rutgers as a tight end and BC as an h-back, was considering Pitt but decided to keep things as simple as possible.
"I'll sit down after the season and weigh the pros and cons of both Syracuse and BC," he said. "I don't really have a favorite between them now."
