Three early standouts for 2017 WR

The wide receiver group was one of the deepest at the Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge presented by Under Armour. Only a 2017 prospect, J.T. Cauthen was there to show why he has five early offers.
"Clemson, N.C. State and North Carolina are standing out right now," said the 6-foot-1, 208-pound Cauthen. "They're all pretty close to home."

The Washaw (N.C.) Cuthbertson star has plenty of time before he has to make a decision but he already has a clear idea of where this journey might take him.
"I'm thinking SEC," he said. "If it takes me out of state, it takes me out of state. I want to school with good academic. I also like fast-paced offense. That's what I run in high school so I'm used to that."
Cauthen is still keeping an open mind when it comes to recruiting.
"I like the schools that have had interest in me," said Cauthen. "Georgia invited me to a camp. I also like Clemson. Florida State, Oregon, Alabama and Auburn have all invited me to camp also. I talk to all of them."
Two schools could be hosting Cauthen in the near future.
"I might go to Tennessee and possibly N.C. State next week," he said. "I'm not sure about those yet."
Cauthen currently has offered from Charlotte, Clemson, North Carolina, N.C. State and Old Dominion.
