This season Gallup helped Belmont Hills to a 6-2 record as he posted 1,700 yards rushing, 500 yards receiving and 24 total touchdowns. Gallup also added six interceptions on defense.
He went on to be named first team all-New England and first team all-league.
"We had a real good team with a lot of young athletes, but we have a really good shot at having a good team next year," he said. "I was pretty happy with my play. I really improved on my wide receiver routes and my hands this past year."
Currently, Gallup lists Duke, Virginia, Notre Dame, Boston College and Harvard at the top of his list.
"Academics are pretty important to me, I want to be challenged in school," he said. "I'm looking for the combination of academics and football."
Gallup has already visited Boston College and Harvard.
"I definitely love both of them," he said. "But I'm keeping an open mind and I don't feel obligated to stay around here."
Gallup grew up a fan of Notre Dame and Boston College, but he is still not biased towards any schools. His father, Barry Gallup Sr. is the director of football operations at BC.
This spring Gallup plans to attend Junior Days at Duke, Virginia, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Northwestern. He also plans to attend the Nike Combine at Penn State.
This summer Gallup is looking at attending camps at Duke, Virginia, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Boston College and Harvard.
