Three currently impressing Croom
Jason Croom of Norcross (Ga.) has the frame of a tight end, but the moves, speed and hands of a receiver. Although he probably could be either in college, Croom would prefer playing the latter.
"I'm a wide receiver," Croom told Rivals.com at the BadgerSport 7-on-7 in Birmingham, Ala., where he helped lead Team Georgia to a runnerup finish. "I've got all my offers for being the X receiver. I'm not touching that line. I played tight end in the 10th grade for like one play. I wasn't bad. But I just ran straight."

At last check, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound junior had nine offers.
"I got Miami and USF last week," he said.
Additionally, Arkansas, Auburn, Illinois, Louisville, Memphis, Mississippi State and Southern Miss have pulled the trigger, making Croom one of the most coveted prospects in the metro-Atlanta area. So far, a trio of schools have stood out, but Croom stopped short of calling them his leaders.
"I wouldn't say it's my top three, but Louisville, Miami and Mississippi State - those are the three I contact the most," Croom said.
Who might be next to offer?
"Maybe Georgia," Croom said.
In recent weeks, Central Florida, Memphis, Miami, Nebraska and USF have stopped by Croom's school to chat with him. Several other programs plan to make a visit to watch him during spring practice, he said.
"There's a lot of schools coming by, like Clemson, LSU, Ohio State and Oregon," Croom said. "I kept telling them on Facebook, 'Come watch the show.' They're like, 'Alright, we're coming.' "
