Three battle for Floridas Young

Four-star Palm Beach (Fla.) Gardens defensive end Willie Young says he’s getting ever closer to reaching a decision.
“I’m getting real close,” he said. “Florida’s coming up next week, and I should know as soon as I take that one. But I want to take that last visit before I decide.”

Young (6-5, 210, 4.63) visited N.C. State in December and Ohio State earlier this month. It’s down to those three schools.
“Ohio State has a nice school and surroundings,” he said. “The big stadium is awesome, and they have some brand new facilities coming in the future that should be real nice. I liked the head coach, too. He’s pretty cool.
“N.C. State is kind of similar to Ohio State, just in a different area. They have good facilities and coaches. I got along well with their players.
“Florida is the home state school and getting a lot of players in there. I don’t know as much about the rest of the school until I go for my visit. That could be a big factor.”
Young, who is rated the No. 14 weakside defensive end in the nation by Rivals.com, said all three head coaches are scheduled to make in-home visits this coming week.
As a senior, he had 65 tackles, 25 tackles for loss and 12 sacks.
