Three at the top for Nebraska OL

Overton, Neb., offensive tackle Orion Matthies is favoring three schools at this point in the process.
“I like Iowa, Kansas State and Nebraska,” the 6-foot-6, 300-pound Matthies said. “Nebraska is the only offer I have right now, though. I’m talking to the others too, but right now, they haven’t offered.”

Matthies is working hard on the field to show his talents, but he is working hard in the classroom too.
“I know I have to get my grades up,” the No. 2 rated player in Nebraska said. “My test score needs some work as well. I just need to stay focused on the work and do the best I can.”
While the Huskers have extended an offer to Matthies, they are still in a battle to land his talents.
“I’m really open to this thing,” he said. “I’m not favoring anyone at this point. I’m just trying to work hard and help my team win games. Right now, we are 5-1. I’m playing both ways, at end on defense and at tackle on offense. I think I can play either spot, but the schools are recruiting me to play on offense in college.
“I don’t have any visits set up with any colleges at this point. I’m sure we’ll get to that before long, but right now, I don’t.”
