Thorpe is a 2008 prospect to watch

2008 recruit Justin Thorpe is another Richmond (Va.) Varina prospect to keep an eye on. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder is a versatile athlete that has played all over the field already in his first two years of high school.
"Justin is as good as anybody in this area as a quarterback, but he is behind Davon Morgan," he said. "As a quarterback last year Davon was knocked out of a game and Justin came in against GW Danville and drove us back to score two touchdowns in the final quarterback.

"Besides that, he has played wide receiver, running back and other positions on the field. He is a very special player that is intelligent too. Obviously it isn't totally fair for him to wait, but he is doing like Mike Robinson and has bought into the idea that he could offer a lot of different positions at the next level. I'd even compare him to Mike in a lot of ways."
This spring Thorpe plans to attend a sophomore combine at Notre Dame.
Thorpe is looking to head to the Nike Camp at Penn State along with a team summer camp at West Virginia.
