Thornton still favors Horns

Dallas (Texas) St. Mark’s athlete Kenton Thornton has yet to line up any official visits and he is still waiting on his first scholarship offer.
“Nothing new really is happening,” the 6-foot-t, 190-pound Thornton said of the recruiting process. “It’s the same schools as always that are calling. Texas, California, Colorado State have continued to call. Duke has called recently. We’ll see what kind of interest they have from here on.”

Thornton, the younger brother of current Longhorns Kalen and Kyle, has not lined up any official visits.
“I have not set up any official visits yet,” he said. “I’ll work on that soon. I just haven’t had time with all the stuff that we have had going on until now to do that.”
As for a favorite, the Longhorns continue to rank right up at the top.
“Texas is definitely up there at the top,” he said. “We are very familiar with the school and the program with my family being there. That is very nice. I would definitely consider that if they come through with an offer, but, that isn’t the overriding factor in a school choice.”
