The Woodlands' (Texas) offensive lineman Brandon Thompson received his first offer from Texas Tech more than a month ago. Four weeks later he's up to four official offers from schools in different conferences.
Oklahoma State, Purdue and Rice have recently pulled the trigger on offers, but Thompson is in no rush to make a decision.
"I don't have any favorite right now," Thompson said. "I'm going to take my time and look for the school that is the right fit for me. I think that Northwestern is getting close to offering also."
Thompson started as a junior and was a letterman as a sophomore, but saw limited action.
"People have been telling me that I could play in college," he said. "I thought I could but I'm a little surprised that I've gotten so many offers early."
Thompson is looking for an offer from Texas A&M, but is not ruling out any one.
"I'm just looking at any big school to offer and catch my interest," he said. "But I'm happy with what I've got so far."
