Thompson wants to see two

SEBRING, Fla. - Wednesday night marked a warm-up of sorts for Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange safety Lucas Thompson. The three-star safety participated in the FACA North-South All-Star Game, marking the first of two all-star events he is on the roster for. In early January, he will participate in the Under Armour All-America Game.
"I feel like I got better (at FACA)," Thompson said. "I know I have to go harder at Under Armour because those are the top guys. I know I will have to step my game up."

Since his high school season concluded, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound defensive back has been focused away from the field.
"I have been focused on my academics," Thompson said. "It is good. I have made some great progress. I have to get everything better, and with football season over I know I have to step up, but is good, it is way attainable. I am just trying to get ready for the next level now."
With regards to his recruitment, the only college visit he has taken was to East Carolina in late October. Thompson knows of two other schools that he definitely wants to check out in January before making a decision.
"Miami and South Carolina," Thompson said. "I haven't set those visits up yet though. But they are both still in regular contact with me."
Thompson says he is speaking with Jeep Hunter at South Carolina and Terry Richardson at Miami.
