Thompson switches

The Dallas Morning News is reporting that three-star tight end prospect Taylor Thompson of Prosper, Texas, has switched his commitment from Vanderbilt to SMU.
Thompson, who is 6-foot-7 and 224-pounds, has not been available for comment, but his coach, Kent Scott, told the Morning News that his start tight end has made the switch. Thompson had been a long-time commitment to Vandy, but he visited SMU this past weekend and reportedly made the switch earlier this week.

Before committing to Vandy, Thompson did have offers from Duke, Louisville, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Purdue, South Carolina and Stanford. He is ranked as the nation's No. 38 tight end.
Rivals.com is working to confirm the Morning News' report with Thompson.
