Thompson on different path
Katy, Texas cornerback/receiver Will Thompson had a big decision to make between heading for Navy or Air Force. Then a third option came about and he decided to jump on it.
"I think I'm going to go to Blinn Junior College," Thompson said. "I feel like I can play at the big Division I level. Obviously, the coaches think so as well. The coaches at Blinn told me to come down and hopefully I can draw some looks."

Thompson said that the Air Force and Navy offers were still pending when he made his decision.
"The junior college thing was really my only choice other than some smaller schools," he said. "I'm just going to do this."
"I'm excited about the opportunity."
The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder is looking forward to new opportunities that may come up.
"I just want to get back out there again and see what pops up this next year," he said. "I'll just see what happens from there."
