Thompson no longer has top two

Shurod Thompson recently named a top two of Arizona State and USC but as quickly as that happened the four-star backed off it and said he remains open to all programs.
"I just wanted to open it up a little bit and get a little more interest," Thompson said.

"I've been getting interest from Kansas, Kentucky, Alabama and LSU and coach (Demetrice Martin) from UCLA has been talking to me and recruiting me really hard."
Miami and Notre Dame have also gotten involved with Thompson, who recently transferred from Pittsburg, Calif., to Brentwood (Calif.) Liberty for the rest of this year and his senior season.
The Bruins have stepped it up dramatically in recent weeks and the four-star defensive back said he's definitely listening.
"(Martin) wants me to come up there as soon as possible," Thompson said. "I don't know when but it will be soon.
"He really likes us both (Thompson and four-star Jordan Parker). He's been in my recruitment early and I really like him, he's a good coach."
Thompson looked to be deciding between the Trojans and Sun Devils but it now sounds like he's really going to take his time.
A trip to Oregon and another to Boise State is possible soon. He's planning to camp at USC but is undecided on others at this point.
Even though he's transferred out of Pittsburg, Thompson said he and Parker are still planning to attend the same college.
Rivals.com rates Thompson as the seventh-best safety and the No. 75 recruit in the 2016 class. He finished with 51 tackles and three interceptions in his junior season.
