Thompson likes the Pac 10

One of the elite prospects out West this year is Seattle (Wash.) Kennedy athlete Everette Thompson. Thompson is in the process of narrowing his list down and will take one more unofficial visit on Friday.
Thompson, 6-5, 240 pounds is one of the top three prospects in the state this year. He attended NIKE Camps at Stanford and Oregon working out with the defensive linemen at Stanford and the tight ends at Oregon.

He's being recruited mostly on the defensive side of the ball although some schools feel he could play offense as well.
"Oregon likes me at tight end," Thompson said. "Just about everyone else is saying defense and that's probably my preference right now too. I'm just more comfortable there and I've played there longer."
Thompson took unofficial visits this past Spring and summer to Washington on multiple occasions as well as Oregon, Oregon State and Cal.
"I'm going to Boise State tomorrow," Thompson said. "I'm mostly looking at Pac 10 schools right now but I want to check out Boise State and see what they have to offer. It's a good school and things go well there, I'll add them to my list as well.
"My other visits were great. At Cal, I like the location, it's in the city and I liked the coaches a lot. At Oregon, I loved the facilities and also the quality of players they're bringing in.
"At Oregon State, the coaching staff really stood out to me and with Washington, it's close to home and they're really recruiting well too. I've been there a number of times and have already seen a couple of practices.
"Right now, the main schools I like are Oregon, Oregon State, Cal, Washington and Washington State. I'm getting some pressure to stay home and play for Washington but to be honest, I'm kind of leaning towards leaving the area.
"I think it would be fun to go and experience something new and see a new place, kind of help me grow up. I don't have a leader though and I plan to take at least two or three of my visits before I commit.
"Right now, my focus is on our season so my visits will likely be in December when our season is over. Then I'll see a few places and make my commitment when I feel I'm ready."
