Gainesville (Fla.) wide receiver Chris Thompson reports a pair of early offers.
"I have two offers now," Thompson said. "Marshall was my second one. Utah was my first one."
The 6-foot, 170-pound wide receiver said he had a short conversation with each school when they offered.
"I have talked with a coach at both schools," Thompson said. "They told me that they like my game film. They told me they were offering. That was about it."
Thompson also reports interest from Florida State, Louisville, LSU, and South Florida. The Sunshine State prospect had the opportunity to travel to LSU back in February.
"I checked out LSU a couple months ago," Thompson said. "It was real nice. It is a big campus. I liked the coaches. I liked the weight room and stuff like that. It was real fun."
At this stage of the process, Thompson doesn't claim a leader and says his focus is on the field, not on his recruiting.
"I am just focusing on spring (football)," Thompson said. "I am just trying to get ready for football."
Thompson also participates in track and field, participating in numerous events.
As a junior, Thompson recorded 37 receptions for 814 yards and six touchdowns.
