Thompson adds Pac-12 offer

The Washington State coaching staff had been watching film on Jalen Thompson but couldn't determine his speed because he didn't have a 40-yard dash time.
Still, after seeing the three-star athlete from Downey, Calif., over and over again, the Cougars came to the conclusion they wanted to offer.

It's a big one for Thompson, who said he wants to visit Pullman in the next month or so and now he needs to learn a whole lot more about the program.
"They have been recruiting me," Thompson said. "They wanted to see how fast I was. They kept looking at my film trying to determine how fast I was because I didn't have a 40 time.
"They just kept watching my film over and over and then they decided to just offer me. They told me they like the way I play and they wanted to offer.
"I know that they're in the Pac-12 and that it's a good school. I should be going to take a visit in about a month. By then I should know a lot more about the school."
Navy and San Diego State have also offered early on and Thompson seems most familiar with the Aztecs especially since he has visited there twice already.
The three-star prospect who almost definitely will play defensive back in college said he's developed a good relationship with cornerbacks coach and recruiting coordinator Tony White and that's why San Diego State appeals to him right now.
"I actually visited their school twice already," Thompson said. "I know a little bit more about them than Washington State.
"I like coach White a lot. I feel like he's a good coach and that's a team I could possibly be playing for."
