Khaylan Thomas still has the three favorites of Arizona, Arizona State and UCLA but an offer from USC could make things interesting and he plans to visit there soon.
"I'm trying to get in contact with the coaches right now so those will probably happen in the next couple weeks," Thomas said.
"I have the offer from UCLA and now I'm just waiting for one from USC. I want to go down there and see what's going on and what's going to happen."
The 6-foot, 217-pound linebacker from Etiwanda, Calif., who has looked good at numerous 7on7 events in the last few weeks did not make any promises that USC would move to the top with an offer - but he hinted at it.
"I would have to check it out more but most likely," Thomas said of USC moving to No. 1 on his list.
Arizona and Arizona State are definitely under serious consideration for Thomas, who also has offers from Colorado, Fresno State, Oregon State, Utah and Washington State.
Thomas has visited with both the Wildcats and Sun Devils recently and both have impressed him.
The three-star wanted to return to Arizona this past weekend for the spring game but couldn't make it because of a 7on7 tournament. Another trip to ASU in the near future is being seriously considered.
"I was trying to get down to Arizona for the spring game but I have all these tournaments so I don't know when I'm getting down there," Thomas said.
"I'm still interested in both. I went down to ASU and they're family-oriented. I really like them."
