Thomas totals four offers

Two more scholarship offers have rolled in for Aldine, Texas quarterback/athlete Darron Thomas.
The first two came from Northwestern and LSU, but now Oklahoma State and Illinois recently threw their hat into the mix with offers of their own. Thomas, the 6-foot-3, 190-pounder, lines up at quarterback for his team in high school. However, some schools are talking about receiver as well.

"I've been playing receiver all of my life," Thomas said. "When I got to the 10th grade, that's when I started playing quarterback. I'm pretty open to whatever."
LSU, Illinois, and Northwestern have all talked about him playing quarterback. Oklahoma State's offer was at the receiver position exclusively. Both of the two new offers have Thomas interested.
"I talked with the coaches after I was offered by Illinois," Thomas said. "They just told me I might be able to come in and compete early for playing time. Oklahoma State, that's for receiver only. I'm open to that too."
Though the two new offers have Thomas listening, LSU remains the leader.
"It's just a good school," Thomas said about the Tigers. "Plus, I like the location."
Thomas says that he's been busy lately and doesn't foresee any other visits until this summer.
"I know I'm going to LSU this summer and maybe Illinois too," he said. "I'm going to go visit the schools that have offered me."
Texas and Texas A&M are two schools that Thomas says he's waiting to hear from in terms of an offer before he decides.
"I talked to some coaches at Texas and they usually don't offer that early to everybody," he said. "They said they're looking at me. I think A&M is ready to offer. Both of them said they like me at quarterback, but they said if I wanted to come in and play, it would be at receiver."
