Thomas says its down to two

Oakland (Calif.) McClymonds three-star athlete Rico Thomas has basically narrowed it down to two West coast schools, and the 5-foot-10, 161-pounder said a decision might not be that far off.
"I've already visited San Diego State, and I'm going to Nevada this weekend," Thomas said. "I really haven't talked to too many others because those are the teams I really like."

Thomas visited SDSU back in mid-November, and he said the coaching change that brought in Chuck Long from Oklahoma has gotten him excited about the Aztecs again.
"I talked to the coaches, and they seem real excited about their future," Thomas said. "I was talking to Toby Neinas, and he was telling me about coach Long and what his background was like. I got real excited about that."
He also is excited about Nevada.
"I just want to have fun on my official visit," he said. "The coaches up there seem like they're really nice and down to earth. I think I could play for coaches like that."
Thomas had also picked up offers from Nebraska, Oregon, UNLV and Utah before narrowing his list to a final two.
