Thomas returns from the Swamp

Regardless of who has offered, three-star wide receiver Latarrius Thomas of New Smyrna Beach (Fla.) decided it was time to take an in-state unofficial visit this past weekend.
That unofficial visit was to witness the one of the bigger games of the weekend when Thomas checked out Florida as they took on Tennessee. Though the Gators have yet to offer like teams such as Louisville, Miami, Nebraska, South Carolina, and UCF, the 6-foot-1, 191-pound receiver decided to make the trip.
"It went pretty well," Thomas said about his visit to Florida. "We got to meet the coaches, got to sit and watch the game from ground level, I really enjoyed it. They haven't offered as of right now, but the coaches said it should be soon."
Thomas is completely open when it comes to naming any favorite schools and is looking at making a decision around Signing Day. Thomas will definitely start setting up visits soon because it looks like things are starting to wind down.
"I'm definitely going to visit Louisville, West Virginia, South Carolina, and Tennessee," Thomas said. "I'm just interested in them. They're out of state and I can go see Florida, Florida State, and Miami whenever I want."
"To be honest, I'm kind of getting tired of it. It's just all the calls and stuff like that. I think that could force me to get the list down and just make my decision earlier than expected."
His season is also off to a big start with a 3-1 record for Smyrna Beach and that is definitely because of some great play by Thomas.
"I have over 300 yards," he said. "I have three touchdowns on offense and now I'm playing a little defense at cornerback. That's going better than people would think."
Thomas is rated as the No. 69 overall prospect in the state of Florida.
