Thomas names early leaders

Khaylan Thomas already has some early favorites even though his recruitment just started getting really busy in the last few months.
The Etiwanda, Calif., linebacker who was one of the better defensive players at the Pylon Sports 7on7 in Las Vegas this past weekend said Arizona and UCLA are the early favorites and more programs continue to show interest.

In a later interview, Thomas said Arizona State was also among the list of top teams.
"UCLA and Arizona are the favorites so far," Thomas said.
"The facilities were nice (at Arizona) and they really made me feel like I was at home. They made me feel really comfortable. I haven't taken any visits out there (to UCLA) yet but I will soon."
Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, Colorado, Oregon State, Utah and Washington State have offered the 6-foot, 217-pound prospect so far.
The offers from the Bruins and Utes are the two latest for the Etiwanda standout who said Boise State and USC have recently reached out as well.
Things have picked up drastically for Thomas in recent weeks.
All seven of his offers came in rapid fire over the last few weeks and the Etiwanda linebacker said one of the reasons why Arizona is so high is because he loved his visit there recently.
More trips - including one to UCLA - are expected soon. It's been fast but Thomas said there are a few programs that have captured his attention more than others.
"I was surprised but I was just waiting for my time," Thomas said. "When it all started to happen then I was just really happy."
